Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Field Technician to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Technician will be assigned to critical machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a Field Technician your key responsibilities will include:
Adequately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lift equipment as required by customers
Build relationships with customers, communicating a clear understanding of job scopes and repair requirements
Perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on a variety of material handling equipment
Conduct tasks assigned from the Dispatcher, maintaining communication and providing updates as needed
Prepare all required parts before visiting job sites
Actively communicate with the Parts department to ensure required parts are needed, including tracking orders and following up when required
Complete work order forms for assigned jobs
Adhere to warranty policies, and complete necessary warranty documentation
Report any safety incidents according to company policy
Maintain organized and tidy work environments
Maintain proper documentation as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Driver's license (required)
Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's ticket, or 5+ years of proven experience in a related industry (required)
Relevant Red Seal Trade Certification (preferred)
Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers and internal stakeholders
Ability to travel to customer sites within local region
Must be able to gain access to Federal Government buildings through clearance screening process
Experience with the Linde product line is considered an asset

The base pay range for this role is: $ $47.44 per hour.
This is an onsite role based in Coquitlam, BC.
