WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Ensure that facilities are managed in accordance with contractual obligations, and in alignment with the client's business objectives (i.e., tenant services, energy management, legislative compliance, etc.);
Contribute to the development of the company's business strategy by understanding the markets serviced, maintain contact with current and potential business partners, support leads in identifying new business opportunities, additional services and/or business initiatives;
Overall accountable for the service delivery to ensure client satisfaction and retention;
Oversee the satisfactory resolution of FM issues, ensuring the accurate timely response to issues/concerns identified, and intervening in the most complex and sensitive issues;
Nurture relationships with senior level industry contacts to increase the company's presence in the industry and develop potential business opportunities;
Participate in the creation of the company's strategic goals and objectives;
Lead the development and delivery of well-articulated business strategies across the Operations portfolio;
Provide leadership by motivating and developing the Operations Directors, and building strong cohesive teams; supports teams by way of mentoring and coaching; investigating performance issues and supporting action plans; facilitating goal setting and performance reviews; identifying training/educational/professional development for the Operations team;
Meet with clients to provide/obtain facility performance updates and to strategize about major improvements in the business planning cycle;
Implement client programs, recommend solutions to complex issues, exercises a high level of creativity and thinking analytically to effectively problem solve;
Use advanced analytical techniques in the assessment of industry "best practices" and new technology;
Drive operational support to new business, from the RFP stage, to start-up completion, project scheduling, staffing, and budgeting, etc.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

Strong demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of mentoring and developing effective teams;
Ability to collaborate with the leadership team and foster cooperative working relationships with their respective groups in order to achieve strategic company goals and objectives;
Skilled in process improvement, analyzing information, strategic planning, excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal), and attention to detail; must have national Operational oversight experience;

Minimum of 15 years related/progressive FM and/or Operations management experience, with demonstrated ability to manage large teams, capital projects, budgets, etc.

Post-secondary degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Engineering, Commerce); or a professional license (e.g., P. Eng); or a Red Seal Ticket (e.g., plumbing, electrical, etc.); or combination of education, certifications, training, and experience.
