I'm hiring a
Controller or Senior Accountant in the Greater Toronto Area, work from home with some travel and in office meetings.

Required:

Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA) combined with university degree with a focus in accounting.

Progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years of experience.

Proficient in identifying internal controls weakness and recommending improvements.

Experience working with accounting systems like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero. Experience with QuickBooks Online version is an asset.

A proven track record of autonomous work within a small to medium company or a progressive start up.

Duties:
Financial Management, Reporting and Compliance

Perform all aspects of accounting and finance, including transactional finance management, the month-end close process, controls, manage all accounts, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.

Prepare/review journal entries, prepare/review month end supporting schedules.

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

Assist with other finance related ad hoc activities.

Present financial results and analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Salary:
$90,000.00 per year
