Position Summary


Under the general direction of the Manager, Facilities, this position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping operations, provides input on performance evaluations, and assist s with the implementation all new housekeeping initiatives.

Positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized and growth oriented, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment.

Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.


Key Accountabilities

  • Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Helps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
  • Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the Housekeeping team while providing continuous coaching for success to achieve high performance.
  • Assists in the implementation of the departmental strategic plans.
  • Monitors Housekeeping operations & directs shift work assignments
  • Makes changes to schedules as required
  • Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
  • Leading a team of engaged colleagues who are passionate about cleanliness, impeccable stateofrepair and delivering a great guest experience
  • Liaising and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Offering facilities & housekeeping expertise to internal and external customers
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Develops an d cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, regulatory bodies and team members
  • Coaches a team of engaged team members who care passionately about the business, site operations, and delive ring a great guest experience.
  • Stewards workplace health, safety and wellness with a focus on team member education & training, workplace inspections and accident prevention not reaction;
  • Anticipates operational and service issue s before they escalate, troubleshoots and resolves guest concerns before they are complaints.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Manages other initiatives as required


Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations th rough timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required

Work Environment Considerations

  • Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays) Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position.
