Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Specialist to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the product development and manufacturing processes of various cannabis products, including pre-rolls, vapes, and any other products being developed by Nostrum Biopharm.

Responsibilities:

Formulation: Be a part of the product development team to formulate new cannabis products, including pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, and other product lines, based on market trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements.

Ingredient Sourcing: Assist in researching and sourcing high-quality cannabis strains, extracts, and other ingredients required for product formulation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company quality specifications.

Manufacturing: Take part in production processes of various cannabis products, providing guidance on formulation techniques, equipment operation, and quality control measures.

Quality Assurance: Assist in developing protocols for all products, including product testing, batch tracking, and compliance with industry regulations. Assist

Batch Production Records:Responsible for filling out and verifying batch production records for all manufactured products. Ensure accurate documentation of raw materials used, processing steps, equipment settings, and quality control checks. Review batch records for completeness and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies or issues as needed.

Market Research: Monitor market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation. Provide insights and recommendations to inform product development strategies.

Training and Education: Provide training and educational resources to internal teams on cannabis product knowledge, formulation techniques, and manufacturing best practices. Support ongoing professional development initiatives for manufacturing and quality control staff.

Requirements:

Minimum of 24 years of experience in product development, formulation, and manufacturing within the cannabis industry, with a focus on various product formats, including prerolls and vapes.
Educational background in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Engineering preferred.
Indepth knowledge of cannabis strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and their effects on product formulation and consumer experience. Familiarity with extraction, infusion, and other manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for cannabis products, including Health Canada's Cannabis Act and Regulations.
