About the Role

eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Analyst to join the team and assist in the support of IT services that eHealth provides to health partners across Saskatchewan.

This individual will possess excellent customer service skills along with strong technical and leadership abilities, be detailed oriented, take pride in their work and enjoy the challenges that go with it.


Typical daily duties will include:

Reporting to the Datacenter Infrastructure Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support eHealth's Unix/Linux environment


Other duties include:

  • Managing current state and assisting with solution design of future state.
  • Participating in creating and managing the work plans and process documentation as it relates to Unix infrastructure.
  • Preparing status reports and managing issue escalations.

What are we looking for:


We are seeking a skilled Unix/Linux Infrastructure Analyst II to join the team and assist in the support of IT services that eHealth provides to the Health Regions across Saskatchewan.

The role is technology driven and will require technical knowledge in a vast set of tools and infrastructure knowledge.


To qualify for this position you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat, and/or any other Linux distributions.
  • Provide high level technical expertise, guidance and support regarding medium to large projects and for complex situations where a solution is required.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with established processes, best practices and configurations paying attention to continuous quality improvement.
  • Writes processes and other high level documents. Ensures team documentations are in place and current.
  • Recommends process changes and other infrastructure improvements to Team Lead and Management
  • Works with Architecture to design and implement future state
  • Establishes policy, implements and monitors computer security and quality assurance procedures. Maintains associated documentation.
  • Performs proactive problem management, troubleshoots and resolves complex problems (the unknown underlying cause of Incidents).
  • Manages the most difficult and complex changes to the technical infrastructure.
  • Leads projects, tasks and workgroups, mentors team members and assigns work
  • Responsible for capacity planning and management.
  • Monitors, tunes and sets standards of the infrastructure to achieve optimum level of performance.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of infrastructure for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures.
  • Performs research, analysis and modifications to improve processes and technologies. Identifies long term operational requirements.
  • Responsible for escalating critical decisions to resume normal operations of systems in the event of failures to Operation Manager and/or Director. If unable to contact superiors reserves ability to implement changes necessary to restore normal operations of critical systems.
