Financial Services Representative

First Credit Union is a financial co-operative with branches in eight communities across the south coast of B.C., focused on the financial, social, and environmental well-being of our members and the communities we serve.

This is a casual position supporting coverage for several branches in the Comox Valley area, including our Courtenay, Cumberland, Bowser, and Union Bay Branches.

Major Responsibilities:

Providing an exceptional member experience by proactively engaging with members to understand and meet their immediate daytoday banking needs by identifying the products and services that will benefit them.
Completing financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, bill payments and/or other account transactions accurately and efficiently
Transforming the member experience by educating them on our mobile tools and resources.
Assisting and backingup other team members and completing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

High School Diploma (preference will be given for post-secondary education).
13 years' experience in the financial, retail, or hospitality industry.
Strong interpersonal skills with a serviceoriented focus.
Knowledge of deposit and lending products and services preferred.
Effective listening skills.
Successful relationship building skills.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
A proven ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with or without a calculator.
Initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.
