    ~ Our downtown Edmonton client is seeking a Banking Support Officer to work onsite for specified days monthly. Reporting to the Manager, Banking Support and Wires Processing, you will administer the processing of any transactions that support the banking centre and broker network through various processing tools. This includes, but are not limited to, activities related to payments such as wires, EFTs, cheques, bill payments, broker support for registered purchases, deposits, cash management products, registered products such as RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, and estates. Ensure policies and procedures are followed, escalating exceptions as required.

    Proactively participate, share and exchange ideas in reference to potential procedure enhancements and best practices between management and peers.

    Minimize risk through compliance with policies and regulatory requirements in all areas of banking and operations.
    Maintenance of long-term document control and electronic reporting for all applicable tasks.

    Provide direct support to the banking centre and broker network, to enable them to deliver a "best in class" customer experience.

    Provide support to the Support team to help problem solve and provide solutions to resolve outstanding items/issues.
    Proactively participate, share and exchange ideas on potential procedure enhancements and best practices between management and peers
    Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect and support an environment where people can contribute and excel.
    Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in operations within retail banking.
    High School Diploma required and Post Secondary Education in Business, Finance or a related field is an asset.
    Client-focused with strong working knowledge of retail banking policies, procedures, laws, rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    Basic skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, and Excel.

    Advanced organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task and ability to perform tasks of a complex nature in defined time frames.
