Introduction
Ontario Learning Development Foundation (OLDF) is looking for Tutor for Science (High School Physics) to join our virtual homework club.
Company
OLDF is a registered charity in Canada that performs training and educational services to youths, children, new immigrants, and seniors.

Position Overview
Tutors will be responsible for assigned children and will provide mentorship and homework assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Tutors are responsible for an assigned grade group of 8 to 10 children virtually
- Assist children on a weekly basis with their science homework
- They ensure children's safety, manage children's behaviour and act as a role model for the group
- Work closely with project coordinators and program managers to ensure the safety of all children.
- Implement and promote the HIGH FIVE Principles of healthy child development in the instructional approach
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a relevant postsecondary program
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (including MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint,) and the Internet
- Familiarity with using google slide, google sheet, google docs and google classroom
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work well independently
- Be a quick learner and selfmotivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Maturity and professionalism
- Must be available and willing to assist students synchronously threefour times a week on video (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday).
- Experience with tutoring/teaching preferred
Requirements:
This requires approximately 10-15 hours per week
Rate:
$15.50 /hour
Must be available for the full duration of the contract from March - June 2023

- Must be willing to be online synchronously on video
