Summary:


The Account Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of key client projects and campaigns for a portfolio of SJC accounts.

This includes managing profitability and sustainability of each account through effective account, project, and client/partner relationship management, and in the delivery of best-in-class content assets.

Excellent communication, content development and management skills are essentials.


In this role you will:


  • Support the Account Director in achieving team's revenue and profit objectives
  • Develop strong, professional relationships with client contacts
  • Manage daytoday client activities translating assignments into meaningful briefs and relevant direction for the dedicated creative team and internal studio and production functional teams
  • Monitor and contribute to the financial success of assigned portfolio, meeting assigned targets as applicable
  • Provide insightful interpretation to management on a weekly basis
  • Understand the client's objectives, business, and industry in order to help clients achieve their goals
  • Resolve client problems independently, consulting with manager on risk management approach as appropriate
  • Build awareness of SJC's brand and capability with client decisionmakers with a focus on senior marketing managers and Directorlevel clients
  • Proactively look for business development opportunities with client contacts and consult with supervisor on followup plans
  • Liaise with clients and agency partners, addressing daytoday issues or developments
  • Understand the business objectives and basic operations of each assigned client, in order to suggest appropriate solutions
  • Analyze client briefs or business challenges objectively and guide the team on next steps
  • Build strong arguments and persuasive strategy proposals, with support from supervisor
  • Present work to clients professionally and persuasively
  • Work with team and Creative Services to ensure that SJC delivers outstanding creative work
  • Ensure all partners in functional teams have the background and information they need to produce the highest quality work efficiently
  • Other duties as required

And a bit about you:


  • University degree/College diploma in a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 24 years experience with client facing projects; experience in digital media
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns, content strategy and development
  • Experience overseeing digital and social media programs and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience in an agency environment is strongly desired
  • Strong Presentation skills able to present strategic and creative concepts to clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities able to prepare a creative brief and clear, concise business documents
  • Superior time management, organizational and planning skills
  • You have a valid drivers license and are able to drive to meet with our clients and key contacts.
  • Detailorientated, selfmotivated, flexible and able to work independently
  • A comprehensive understanding of client business goals, strategic initiatives and the ability to develop bestincategory deliverables that represent the client's needs
  • Strong understanding of interactive marketing and ecommerce business strategies
