Hiring:
Canadian Payroll Specialist - ADP Professional


We are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team to assist with our HR, Accounting and Finance departments.

You will assist our Senior Payroll Specialist, in full cycle, end-to-end Canadian and US payroll processing in a timely manner.

This position will also provide sound advice and support to the administrators, managers and staff across the company on payroll-related questions.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible & fully accountable for the payroll & audit function
  • Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records
  • Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Analyze all data for accuracy to ensure that appropriate processing procedures are followed, in order to ensure employees are paid on an accurate and timely basis within corporate and legislative guidelines.
  • Process the Company's biweekly payroll.
  • Update and maintain various spreadsheets.
  • Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearend reports to circulate amongst department heads.
  • Tax reconciliation and yearend t4 preparation

Experience & Qualifications:


  • Must have Payroll designation. Experience with ADP Payroll is required.
  • 35 years of full cycle, endtoend Canadian and US payroll processing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of client service experience.
  • CPA certification or in progress is an asset.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Advanced Internet and MS Office Skills (Word/Excel) required.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detailoriented and strong analytical skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
