Your Role and Responsibilities

  • The Performance Specialist is an integral part of development team that is responsible for participating in the execution of procedures for ensuring the performance, scalability and quality of new features and
- releases of software. To achieve this, the Performance Engineer will be required to plan, create, and execute performance tests and interact with quality and development engineers.

The Performance Specialist responsibilities will include:

  • Perform the assessment, planning and execution of experiments required for new functions/features under development
  • Provide consultation to the development teams in resolution of complex problems
  • Develop new approaches, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing code, performance testing methodologies and processes

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Min 2 years of active and recent Performance and scalability engineering and/or Data Engineering experience with system performance optimization and tooling for performance metrics from servers and software modules as well as pipeline design and development
  • Experience with Unix/Linux commands related to system performance including top, iostat, dstat, sar, vmstat
  • Experience with performance assessment tooling and technologies such as JMeter, JConsole, perf and be able to develop custom tooling
  • 2 + years in the following: Java, General GC technologies, Kernel, LinuxOS stack, SQL, REST API
  • Knowledge and interest in computational statistics and data analysis
  • Experience in data visualization techniques
  • English Fluent (verbal and written).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • OpenShift, OpenStack knowledge.
  • Cloud, virtualization technologies knowledge.

Location Statement
