Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:


  • As a Project Manager on our Operational Solutions team, you will lead the opening, setup, and operations of stores in our North American fleet. Working collaboratively and crossfunctionally, you will partner on all aspects of the planning and opening process, including store design, support operations, employee, and guest experience. You will communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, build strong relationships, and ensure that everyone is on the same page. Your high level of organization will allow you to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously, while your passion for process creation and optimization will ensure that everything runs smoothly. By leveraging your excellent communication, organizational, and process optimization skills, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of each new store opening.

Meet Your Future Team:


  • The Operational Solutions team designs the ideal conditions for stores to get everything done. We act as a cornerstone of our channel team, and we are the conduit between the retail stores and the crossfunctional partners at HQ. Based at HQ, Ops Solutions is responsible for representing stores in crossfunctional projects; partnering to create clear, concise store communications, implement projects or launch initiatives to stores, develop store operating frameworks and define recurring processes.

If you were the Project Manager, New Store Operations now here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Leading the development and management of comprehensive project plans
  • Coordinating with crossfunctional teams, clearly defining their roles and deadlines to ensure project success
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating project risks related to timelines and resources
  • Establishing a robust store operations model and repeatable opening process through the creation of tools, documents, and templates
  • Enhancing the store handover and setup experience by implementing innovative tools and strategies
  • Supporting key retail projects and pilots to drive overall store performance and success
  • Generating insightful reports, capturing feedback, and effectively communicating updates to executives and stakeholders
  • Providing support and guidance to store teams preopen, atopen and for the first 5 months after opening
  • Providing updates to leadership and the wider business on new store project statuses
  • Identifying and quickly escalating potential risks and roadblocks to leadership
  • Developing and delivering a store handover package to support our retail teams in operating their new store
  • Supporting in facilities and procurement for stores
  • Supporting ad hoc operational process improvement projects as required
  • Virtually attending meetings with crossfunctional partners in Europe (early morning meetings)

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Creating global and scalable strategies to attain our business goals and (most times) implementing those strategies
  • Implementing Global Retail Programs (i.e.
Store Supplies, Facilities, Minor Works, Back of House Programs)

  • Partnering with crossfunctional partners to develop strategies that enable product and omni programs, inclusive of fixtures, product flow, back of house capacity, front of house capacity
  • Leading crossfunctional meetings and maintain shared documents, files, resources in an organized and easy to access system
  • Managing and executing the strategy for multiple projects and initiatives with overlapping timelines, as new priorities are added

Are you our next Project Manager, New Store Operations?:

  • You have 5+ years' project management or operational leadership in retail
  • You have a Bachelors degree or postsecondary education in Business, Operations, or a related field
  • You are highly organized and detailoriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • You are approachable and personable, showcasing a customercentric mindset
  • You are proficient in Smartsheet and Microsoft Suite
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You can multitask, meet deadlines, and manage priorities working in a fastpaced environment
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
