Casual Cook
The North of Superior Health Care Group - The McCausland Hospital Site has an immediate opening for
a Casual Cook position.

**RESPONCIBILITIES

  • Prepares all food/meals ensuring strict compliance with prescribed menus for Long Term Care
residents, CCC and acute care patients;
***- Responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality food production and portion control and

is also responsible for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements;

  • With support from the Environmental Services Support Manager, is responsible for adjusting
menus for individual clients in accordance with specific dietary needs/restrictions (diabetic,

renal, cardiac, etc.)

  • Checks equipment and cooking areas following the serving of meals to ensure that they
maintain safety and sanitation requirements and reports repairs and maintenance needs to

supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of Grade 12**
  • Certified Safe Food Handling course (Can obtain post hire)**
  • Graduate of postsecondary Food Service Worker Program (Can obtain post hire)**
  • Experience in food services preferable
