- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements:
1) vulnerable sector police check within the past 6 months, 2) 2 step t.b. test or cest x-ray within the past 6 months, 3) food handler certificate 4) cook certificate, 5) proof of at least 2 covid vaccinations and 6) current CPR & first aid.
