The
Project Coordinator/Estimator is responsible for the success of assigned projects, in conjunction with the estimator, superintendent and client.

The Project Coordinator/Estimator ensures that the project is completed on time, within allocated budget and to the required quality standard within agreed specifications & contractual obligations.

The Project Coordinator/Estimator is also responsible for generating estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.


Requirements:


Duties are as follows but not limited to:

  • Receive and review all assigned project contracts ensuring clear definition of project demands;
  • Oversees all costs pertaining to project. (i.e. man hours, equipment selection, purchase orders);
  • Supervise and track actual time spent per task vs. budgeted to each allocated job file;
  • Ensures that scheduled timelines are met and in alignment with policy and guidelines;
  • Issues daily project progress reports collectively with assistance of superintendent;
  • Ensures project requirements and obligations are being fulfilled and deadlines are achieved;
  • Inspects progress of work quality and quantity throughout project reporting though daily report;
  • Always working proactively to ensure no impediments to project by over management;
  • Interacts with clients to develop applicable solutions that will respond to their situation and needs;
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships and acts as a primary liaison with client;
  • Resolves disputes and complaints;
  • Generates new leads through relationships with clients, property managers, and other key players;
  • Assist project superintendents where required
  • Assist in completing paperwork where required. (ie. JHA, Procedures, safety, checklists etc.;
  • Attend all site meetings daily/ weekly/ monthly or as required by client;
  • Prepares accurate quotations through job costing and estimation;
  • Follow Morgan Demolition & Abatement Ltd procedures and policies;
  • Enforce safety practices when on site or direct safety officer to site to enforce corrective actions;
  • Monthly calculation of project progress, confirming with client, for monthly invoice submission;
  • Assist with the preparation of prequalification and pretender information and take offs;
  • Develop and maintain new and existing customer base.

Work Experience

  • Demolition/Abatement and HAZ MAT industry experience an asset;
  • Detailed understanding of deconstruction practices;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Outlook);
  • Previous experience with Heavy Bid estimating software an asset;
  • Experience planning and monitoring budgets;
