Success in this role requires you to:

  • Work as a strategic business partner, internally and externally, with vendors and customers to drive innovation and top-line revenue growth for the product and the category
  • Fully understand the category within the Würth global structure, building relationships across the global company to benefit the category in Canada
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the product for the Canadian market
  • Ensure margins are kept in place
  • Negotiate pricing with an eye to managing costs to provide better prices
  • Drive product commercialization through new product development and introduction
  • Analyze sales data to find product line gaps, trends, product performance and utilizing that data for present and future forecasts
  • Collaborate to spearhead prelaunch activities including the facilitation of sales force and customer training

What it takes

  • Experience in product management in related categories
  • A background with Chemicals through work experience or education
  • Ability to negotiate pricing with internal and external suppliers
  • Strong project management skills and ability to positively engage internal and external stakeholders to drive change and meet project timelines
  • Analytical skills to work with relevant data from all stakeholders and units to interpret and create insight
  • Skilled at using analytical tools to compile, extract and leverage data, creating pivot tables, graphs and presentations
  • An innovative mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo and complacency in dealing with a mature category
  • Professional communication with competent presentation skills, capable of organizing data to effectively convey insight
  • A selfstarter who can perform in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
