JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a diligent shop foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Sherwood Park shop.

In this role, you will supervise all personnel, oversee the management and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations.

You will also be required to manage inventory and enforce safety regulations.

To ensure success as a shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch shop foreman should be able to anticipate and address hindrances to operational efficiency.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and lead a team of mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of heavyduty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment.
  • Onboarding of new shop staff, ensuring completion of onsite training
  • Creating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules.
  • Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations.
  • Enforcing safety regulations and protocols are followed.
  • Conducting performance reviews with staff.
  • Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies.
  • Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as updating and filing equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedules.
  • Documenting work order progress and communicating issues that arise with management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a Shop Foreman or similar role.
  • Journeyman HD technician certificate, valid CVIP certification an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years' industryrelated experience.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft word, Excel, and scheduling software.
  • Must pass preemployment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be fitforduty.
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG certification an asset
