The Sales Representative is responsible for selling corporate products or services and executing the day-to-day operations of the Sales department.

This individual identifies revenue-generating opportunities, helps guide key client relationships that align TYCROP Trailer's mission.

The Sales Representative liaises with the President to ensure objectives are achieved and that processes and protocols are in place, properly communicated and followed.


Responsibilities:


  • In collaboration with the President, plan and conduct sales and marketing activities
  • Ensure goals and key performance indicators as outlined by the president are modified and accurate updates on progress are communicated.
  • Review sales forecast and sales activity reports to measure productivity and goal achievement and determine areas requiring improvement
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and the effect of competitors' operations on sales. Develop reports as required
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the corporate vision, mission, values, goals and objectives in all interactions with customer, coworkers, employees and suppliers
  • Address customer complaints and inquires in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist in the development of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, maximize production and increase efficiency in support of TYCROP Trailers objectives
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management
  • Work closely with the President to develop and implement a Business Development Plan to drive revenue growth
  • Process change order requests
  • Keep costs current for quote templates
  • Research prices for new and unique trailer modifications
  • Work with Engineering, Planning, Production and Purchasing to determine timelines for customer orders
  • Provide accurate quotes for customers based on requests and recommendations
  • Commission and deliver trailers upon customer pick up
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key customers
  • Maintain all sales related documents (i.e., quotes, specs, etc.) in eh Company's SharePoint system
  • Provide leadership, development and mentoring to all other staff
  • Keep personal job knowledge uptodate by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations
  • Have a passion for our business and the wellbeing of our people
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in a related field or equivalent business experience (an asset)
  • Experience in a production or service environment or related field (an asset)
  • Ability to foster and develop trust with peers and direct reports
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with customers
  • Experience in a sales for manufacturing environment (an asset)
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • SharePoint and Syspro experience an asset
  • General knowledge of trailer specifications and terminology (an asset)
  • The ability to handle, write and proofread highly confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills
  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level accuracy
  • Very effective organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
