Grandview Senior Living is a small boutique operator of seniors housing in Ottawa's West End and Rideau Lakes. We are looking for a skilled renovator who can work on a number of projects within our communities.

Overview:

The Lead Renovator for our team is responsible for performing maintenance, repair, and renovation activities for our retirement communities located in Ottawa's West End and just south of Smith Falls.

The Lead Renovator will manage and complete various projects with the support of the site-level maintenance team as required.

Responsibilities:

Scoping of work requirements
Ordering materials supplies
Perform construction activities incl drywall repair, painting, trim installation, install flooring, framing.
Projects could including bathroom renovations, flooring replacement, exterior repairs, common area upgrades etc...
Documentation of work activities

Work Location:

You will be working on scheduled projects at two locations. One Ottawa West and the other in Smith Falls.
You will receive a $200 monthly travel allowance.

Vacation:

You will receive
two weeks vacation plus a bonus vacation between Christmas and New Years.

Requirements:

5 years of proven experience at dry walling, painting, trim installation, flooring installation (Hardwood, Laminate, Ceramic). As well as bathroom renovations including installation of walkin showers, toilets and vanitey.
Carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC experience is highly recommended
Exceptionally organized. Able to multitask with time management in a highly active environment
Strong problem solver and critical thinking skills.
Able to calmly communicate (verbal and written) with department heads and external contractors.
Numeracy knowledge is required
Must be able to fluently speak English
Own tools and truck is preferred
Must be able to obtain a vulnerable sector police check

Salary:
From $60,000.00 per year
