Interested in joining a dynamic team involved in cutting-edge engineering and construction projects utilizing the latest software? Parsons is currently in search of a skilled Project Control Engineer/Specialist to provide expertise in project controls, scheduling, and earned value management.

In this role, the Project Control Engineer/Specialist will have the necessary training and technical knowledge to work independently on assigned projects. There may also be opportunities for cross-training in areas such as Estimating, Cost Engineering, and Planning/Scheduling departments.

Cost Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains the cost control section of the Parsons Integrated Control System (PICS) to facilitate project cost management.
  • Assists in creating the work breakdown structure by collaborating with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance departments.
  • Produces cost reports and graphical representations to communicate cost status and forecast requirements.
  • Conducts analytical reviews and checks of cost reporting documentation.

Planning and Scheduling Duties:

  • Implements and manages the Planning/Scheduling segment of PICS, creating critical path logic networks and bar charts.
  • Evaluates current status against the baseline schedule, assessing the impact of changes and delays.
  • Generates reports for all levels of project management and the Client.
  • Utilizes historical data for future planning and forecasting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Primavera, and Document and Materials Controls System (DMCS).
