Position Details
This position is a full-time position that will focus on producing the highest quality, and highest yielding crop possible. The individual will report to the greenhouse owner and grower to co-create and develop strategies for optimal plant growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Help create, and develop a successful greenhouse, including pestmanagement programs, harvesting, control systems, and equipment bays
- Contribute to research efforts and greenhouseinnovation activities
- Manage test plot varieties
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to greenhouse control systems
Experience & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plant growth and strategies for optimal pepper production
- Knowledge of irrigation, boiler, and climate systems
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure crop health is maintained
- Adaptability
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional timemanagement and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Education & Experience:
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Agriculture
- 13 years experience working with greenhouse crops
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
