Job Description:


What you can expect in a typical day:

As a Talent Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and attracting talent for current and future hiring needs for Canada's largest Refinery In partnership with the Talent Acquistion Partners and Hiring Managers, you will align on business needs and leverage in-house sourcing tools, perform market research, propose recommendations, and execute our Talent Sourcing and Attraction strategy.

You will be focused on key, hard-to-fill roles to support our Refining & Supply operations


Some roles include:
Engineers, Product Traders, Specialists, Project Managers.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partners and Hiring Managers to understand and support hiring needs for hardtofill and critical roles within the Refining & Supply space (ie. Engineers, Maintenance Planners, Capital Projects Schedulers)
  • Proactively build diverse Talent pipelines to meet current and future business needs by networking and leveraging tools such as our Talent Community, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, hiring groups, etc.
  • Leverage various resources including networks, job boards (ie. LinkedIn, Indeed, Job Bank, Career Beacon, specialist organizations, hiring groups), and other innovative recruitment channels.
  • Work closely with our Brand team on Talent Attraction efforts to develop creative ways to promote our roles and employer brand through social avenues (ie. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Perform market research and analyze external trends to propose recommendations, update and improve the overall Talent Sourcing and Attraction strategy.
  • Manage our incoming prospects through our Talent Community and triage them to the appropriate talent pools based on their skillset.

Professional skills:

  • Ability to perform Boolean & basic level searches.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize your time effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong customerfocus mindset.

Education and experience:

  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 25 years of experience in Talent Sourcing, Talent Research, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, Talent Attraction, or related experience.
  • Experience sourcing or recruiting for complex roles.
  • Experience using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed Resume are a definite asset.
  • CPHR or RPR designations are an asset
