Coordinator, Fan Experience & Special Events**
Location: 788 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2M1**
Terms:Full-time, Permanent**Vancouver Whitecaps FC is looking for a new team member to join our Events & Fan Experience department in the position of
Coordinator, Fan Experience & Special Events.


The
Coordinator, Fan Experience & Special Events will be responsible for supporting and overseeing a wide array of club special events, including those involving partners, sales initiatives, and fan engagement activities.


Specific Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively contribute to building the Whitecaps Experience team, ensuring it is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate insights and concepts to shape our interactions with fans.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of stadium content and fan experiences.
  • Ensure league and club policies and procedures are adhered to in event production tasks, including but not limited to, talent bookings and scheduling, special presentations/ceremonies, and instadium promotions.
  • Research, evaluate, and create new and innovative ideas and concepts with regards to improving match presentation and the overall stadium experience
  • Support match day movement plans and oversee any required match day rehearsals.
  • Liaise with third party contractors and external parties to coordinate match day deliverables.
  • Assist with the development and fulfillment of inmatch entertainment elements including onpitch contests and activation, instand promotions, and escorting acts and special guests.
  • Actively support and foster positive communication with official supporter groups.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Minimum 12 years of live entertainment production experience in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in management or supervisory role in live entertainment production
  • Ability to multitask and handle business relationships in a professional manner
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • An enthusiastic attitude, working independently as well as part of a group and assuming any tasks to accomplish team goals
  • A clean and valid drivers license is an asset
  • Flexibility to work match days and other special events as needed on evenings, weekends and some holidays
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom)
  • Ability to work nonstandard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is the longest-running professional soccer club in Canada and the United States. Since its inaugural season in 1974, the club has united generations of loyal fans in British Columbia and beyond.
