Network Telecom Technician

Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Salary Range:
$1,118.51/weekly - $1,289.50

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Manager of Network Infrastructure and Telecommunications, the Network Telecom Technician is responsible for supporting all facets networking, public address and telephony technologies board-wide.

This entails analyzing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and rectifying day to day issues with switching and routing to all Board own sites and buildings.

Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications:

The basic qualifications for this position include:

Community College diploma in Computer Sciences, Telecommunications or a related field.
Network +, CCNA or Certifications focused in Voice and Public Addressed Systems (Not mandatory but an asset)
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in Information and Communication Technology OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Ability to use critical judgment
Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
Strong organizational Skills
Effective Teamwork Skills
Strong and dynamic Interpersonal Communication Skills
Strong understanding of Network technology/topologies
Competent understanding of Structured cabling
Strong and competent understanding of VoIP technology
Strong and competent understanding of PA technology
Excellent time management Skills

Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
