Network Telecom Technician

Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM


Salary Range:
$1,118.51/weekly - $1,289.50

Position Summary


Reporting directly to the Manager of Network Infrastructure and Telecommunications, the Network Telecom Technician is responsible for supporting all facets networking, public address and telephony technologies board-wide.

This entails analyzing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and rectifying day to day issues with switching and routing to all Board own sites and buildings.

Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications:


The basic qualifications for this position include:

  • Community College diploma in Computer Sciences, Telecommunications or a related field.
  • Network +, CCNA or Certifications focused in Voice and Public Addressed Systems (Not mandatory but an asset)
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working in Information and Communication Technology OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Ability to use critical judgment
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
  • Strong organizational Skills
  • Effective Teamwork Skills
  • Strong and dynamic Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Strong understanding of Network technology/topologies
  • Competent understanding of Structured cabling
  • Strong and competent understanding of VoIP technology
  • Strong and competent understanding of PA technology
  • Excellent time management Skills
And

  • Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
