From retail storefronts to curtain and window wall (both Unitized and Stick) as well as Canopies, Structural Glass Spider Walls Skylights, Glass balustrades, glass flooring and solar protection louvers.
Looking for an experience Estimator in small-to-large size commercial projects & occasionally residential projects.Estimator is required to prepare quantity takeoffs, request for quotations from suppliers, review all tender documents and addendums, review drawings plan, sections, details, schedules, elevations and specifications.
Estimator is required to determine material, labour and equipment requirements.Required Work Experience
- 5+ years working in the glazing industry.
- 5+ years with aluminum and hardware.
- 5+ years reading specs and drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Complete takeoffs/estimate or assigned projects
- Calculate and input data into spreadsheets
- Generate request for quotes from subcontractors.
- Able to read and transcribe measurements from blue prints (Perform take offs)
- Experience working with Adobe AutoCAD required
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office Software
- Reports to the Operations Manager, High Rise
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Reliable, team player with exceptional problemsolving skills
- Ability to manage time and workload quickly, accurately and independently
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude
- Follow up on multiscope or singlescope projects
- Attend prebid & postbid meetings
- Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
- Participate in initial handoff meetings, & production meetings
- Visit job sites
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in the architectural glazing industry
- Minimum 3 years Estimating experience
- Window wall experience required
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
Salary:
$75,000.00-$105,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
