NNDSB Summer Learning Camps Grades 1-6***
Educational Assistant
The Near North District School Board is looking for staff to support the delivery of summer learning programs for children who would benefit from additional small group learning experiences that promote resilience, well-being, social interaction, and grow literacy and numeracy skills through fun and engaging activities.
Staff will work collaboratively with program instructors to implement summer learning programs and resources and will have opportunities to access professional learning prior to the program launch.

Woodland Public School
Hours of work:
approximately 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hours of work may vary - responsive to the needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Twoyear postsecondary certificate or diploma in the social services field
- Primary or Junior or Intermediate classroom experience.
- Early Literacy/Mathematics experience and/or experience with the Power Learning Camp program will be an asset
- Experience working with a variety of student exceptionalities including but not limited to: medically complex, autism, developmental disabilities and physical disabilities.
- Familiarity with learning technologies, MS Teams, Dreambox Learning, LMS, iPad accessibility tools, etc.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Confidence and skills using virtual tools to engage students in synchronous learning
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other adults (e.g. engaging families, program planning with team members);
- Ability to support culturally relevant and responsive programming.
Rate of Pay:
***$30.00 per hour (which includes 4% vacation and applicable statutory holiday pay)
