    Salary:

    $ $56.75 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional 2% in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.

    Description:

    Northern Lights College is seeking an individual who would be interested in being available as a sessional, part time instructor to instruct continuous intake classes from June 20 - August 23, 2024. This online class it to allow students to finish their courses over the summer and the classes can include English, Social Studies, Sciences, Math and/or EDCP. The students will be mid-course and the courses are built.


    Course content spans the Adult Basic Education curriculum at the equivalent of Grades 10-12.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
    • Ability to effectively function as a team member.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • A commitment to student motivation and success.

    Preferred:

    • Instructional experience at the secondary or post-secondary levels.
    • Credential in Adult Education, such as the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program (completed or in progress).
    • Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
