Description
As a Forklift Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting on-site training sessions for workers to enhance their skills and proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace, empowering employees with the necessary knowledge and practical experience to operate forklifts effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions on sitdown and standup forklift operation to workers at various client sites.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations on forklift safety, including proper handling, maneuvering, and load management techniques.
- Assess trainees' progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their performance.
- Conduct practical evaluations to ensure trainees' competency and adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify training needs and develop customized programs to address specific skill gaps.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations pertaining to forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate training records and prepare training reports as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator or trainer is preferred.
- Indepth knowledge of sitdown and standup forklift operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver training sessions and interact with trainees of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong observational and analytical skills to assess trainees' performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Flexibility to travel to different client sites as needed.
- Proven commitment to safety and a meticulous approach to training delivery.
- Valid forklift operator certification is desirable.
