Description

Calanah Builders is a small volume family owned and operated construction firm providing general contracting, design build and project management services to the commercial and light industrial sectors.

• Journeyman carpenter preferred but will consider apprentice carpenter with extensive experience

• Skilled tradesperson with emphasis on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision or in small team setting.
• Ability to read and fully understand project drawings and specifications.
• Ability to manage and complete designated tasks.
• Ability to work alongside other trades on a project site.
• Extensive knowledge of concrete formwork, reinforcing details and other concrete prep.
• Extensive knowledge of woodframe construction.
• General knowledge of other commercial building systems, such as: Roofing, siding, insulation, drywall and finish carpentry.
• Ability to understand and abide by company safety policies.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch and kneel for long periods of time as well as lift and carry typical building materials.
• Ability to operate equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
• First aid and CPR are an asset.

• Valid drivers licence
• Own transportation with ability to haul tools & small materials
• Hand/personal tools
• CSA approved steeltoed safety boots and hard hat

• Permanent fulltime position.
• 40 hours per week with occasional overtime (at Calanah Builders we value and emphasize a healthy balance between work and family).
