THE ROLE


Reporting to the Vice President of the
COI Build team, the Sales Representative - Commercial Flooring in our Winnipeg office is responsible for achieving the assigned sales goals in both dollar volume and profitability, while maintaining a high level of customer relationships.

This is a full-time permanent position, working out of our impeccably designed and furnished office. You'll mostly work from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with irregular or extended hours as projects demand.


THE DAY TO DAY

  • Scouting and identifying floor covering opportunities and securing sales with existing and new customers to create sales growth in the Manitoba market.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to secure the specification of flooring.
  • Monitor the tendering process for the projects.
  • Obtain drawings, review specifications and get any clarifications required.
  • Negotiate pricing on all required products as needed and submit pricing and proposals to customers, including all terms and credit requirements.
  • Ensure clear and timely entry of all data into CORE, including all quantities, delivery requirements and specification required for procurement to purchase the material.
  • Work with Project Managers on project timelines, processing of change orders, monitoring of onsite progress, passing along of any deficiency reviews and processing of invoicing.
  • Ensure strong customer relationships and continue to follow up as required on future opportunities.

YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial flooring sales.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle.
  • Knowledge of and contacts in commercial construction, property management and general contracting (considered an asset).
  • Proven track record selling into GCs and end users.
  • Experience working with A&D community.
  • Prior flooring installation experience (considered an asset).
  • Proven ability to maintain and build strong customer relationships.
  • High level of motivation to grow sales in designated market.
  • A demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity and sound judgment in conducting business transactions, to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
