The Opportunity:


The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality delivery of assigned courses within the Occupational Therapy Assistant program, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment.

Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments, and exams.


The Occupational Therapy Assistant clinical supervisor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.


What you'll be doing:


  • To assess and create treatment plans for individuals referred for treatment.
  • To provide the host site with possible recommendations and contact information for followup upon the end of placement, for those individuals who received treatment.
  • To orient the student to the occupational therapy services to be provided and clarify the student's role in relation to those services.
  • To ensure the student's understanding of the supervisory role.
  • To act as a liaison between the facility and triOS College.
  • To ensure the facility staff involved with the student understand their role with respect to the student.
  • To supervise student performance throughout the placement.
  • To evaluate all students in the clinical setting by assessing overall performance as either satisfactory or unsatisfactory.

What you bring to the position:

  • To be considered you must be a Registered Occupational Therapist in the province of Ontario with a minimum of 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience in a Canadian clinical occupational therapy setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including supervision, motivation and facilitation are preferred. Intermediate MS Office skills and a strong command of the English language both written and verbal are essential.
