- Develop teaching materials.
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students a reactively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
- Ensure student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or programme classification.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Perform extra-curricular activities, including counselling of students and marking of Placement/Readiness assessments.
- Perform administrative duties relating to subjects taught e.g. record class attendance, record student attendance in co/extra-curricular activities, invigilation of examinations, etc.
- 2 years of teaching experience in teaching either French or German.
- Certification related to Education and/or Language is preferred.
- Fluent in English and French or German.

SUNWAY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SIS) is the first international school in Malaysia to offer the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Education High School Curriculum. A private co-educational institution, SIS commenced in January 2008. Due to dynamic growth and expansion, SIS has opened up a second campus in Sunway Iskandar, a new development strategically located close to major attractions in Iskandar, Johor Bahru, and Singapore. Beginning in January 2017, SIS Sunway Iskandar has started operations and offers the Ontario curriculum for students in kindergarten to Grade 5, and International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme from Grade 6 to 10, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Career Programme (CP) for students in Grade 11 and 12. SIS Sunway Iskandar welcomes applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join SIS in the following area/s.
Roles and Responsibilities
The teacher is responsible for implementing instructional programmes that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the Ontario Ministry of Education and/or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme's policies and guidelines. The Teacher will also provide non-academic services to the institution and undertake professional activities, extra-curricular activities, counselling and marketing activities.
