The Role:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to implement quality standards, contribute to established processes that support front and back-end home building issues and deliver Caivan's marquis _Move in Ready _inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Caivan's MoveinReady (MIR gate 1) inspection
- Audit houses at MIR Gate 2 for level of completion and quality from initial MIR inspection
- Host customers and deliver a bestinclass Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) experience
- Conduct various framing inspections during the front end of the houses build schedule
- Generate project quality inspections, reports, and procedures
- Assess work is completed per plan, scope, and customer selected options and extras
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards and generate quality reports and metrics
- Communicate repeat issues and ongoing patterns and recommend corrective actions
- Advance proposals to existing quality or production standards to improve quality
- Support Caivan health and safety program while on site
- Be proficient in Caivan (finishing) scopes and act as an ambassador of Caivan quality
- Educate and host worker trainings on the required standards
- Collaborates with manager to identify approaches and methods to improve overall quality
- Perform any other duties as required
You will bring:
- Postsecondary education with a focus on construction management or related field an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within residential new home construction
- Understanding of new home construction, from framing to closing
- Keen eye for detail, quality, and understand the fit and finishing of now home construction
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (OBC) an asset
- Proficient working knowledge of Tarion's Construction Performance Guidelines
- Positive attitude, optimistic perspective, and diplomatic approach
- Team player with the strong ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives
- Handyman skills an asset
- Comfortable with the use of technology, completing, documenting inspections via tablet
