Description
The General Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Allset Traffic Management.

This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire team, from hiring to training, and will be expected to lead by example in their role.

The General Manager will also be expected to develop and monitor the budget, as well as provide leadership for all team members.


As a General Manager, you will play a key role for the overall coordination and implementation of high-quality traffic control services to our clients.

Management of labour, productivity, and maintaining traffic control operations, efficiency, safety, and the supervision of office and field staff that report to you.

The General Manager is responsible for developing a budget and directing services in order to achieve targets. Additionally the General Manager assists the VP of Traffic Services with client management and service delivery.


What you will do:
Leadership

  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with other functional/department managers to understand all required aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purpose and achievements
  • May serve as a direct report for operational departments, as directed by the VP, Traffic Services Western Region Operations
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy and budgets for the operational management of the division within agreed targets and timelines
  • Ensure traffic control capabilities meet or exceed requirements for cost, quality, delivery, safety and responsiveness
  • Assist with the development of any traffic control strategies that will ensure quality of service for our clients
  • Lead, assess and ensure compliance to applicable safety legislation and internal/customer protocols
  • Maintain a General understanding of the BC Employment Standards, IBEW Collective Agreement, and CSWU LiUNA collective agreements pertaining to key bargaining units Health and Safety
  • Supports a healthy and safe operation and environment. Promotes health and safety standards by playing a key role in the maintaining of the divisions' COR Safety program
  • Support Management, Supervisors, and Trainers/Mentors in safe operations that meet regulatory requirements, and correct daily issues Sales & Business Development
  • Support sales team with servicerelated issues Investigate and analyze all complaints from our clients, the general public and our employees
  • Support Sales & Marketing teams with business development and growth strategy initiatives
  • Assist VP, and Marketing team with all client requests for RFP's, RFQ'S, or Bid opportunities Customer Success
  • Develop reports/presentations and participate in Client precon meetings, as well as any weekly or monthly meetings as required by either contractual or customer service obligations
  • Regularly check in with clients and client designates in order to build effective working relationships

Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of leadership and management experience with a track record of success leading diverse teams
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in multi city trades or similar work experience
  • Must review and maintain a clear understanding of WCB Workplace Regulations, versed in all safety regulations concerning our services and products
  • Must have excellent organizational, leadership, and coaching skills and be able to prioritize work.
  • Must have proven time management skills including the ability to multitask, effectively meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Must show initiative, attention to detail, diplomacy and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
