    Job Description

    The Process Automation Program Specialist will drive vision and strategy for enterprise automation to continuously improve and increase adoption and expansion of the program. They will work directly with various internal business units, technology teams, and vendors to identify, conceptualize and communicate transformational automation opportunities.

    What are the main responsibilities?

    Solution Identification and Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end business process review meetings/workshops to generate awareness of RPA capabilities, documenting current process pain points and identifying opportunities for automation
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Partners on CI initiatives to prepare for automation opportunities, using Lean Six Sigma best practices.
  • Manage the identification and prioritization of use cases, sustaining a healthy opportunity pipeline
  • Establish milestones and monitor progress of plans and schedules, identify delivery risks, and drive mitigation strategies and solutions
  • Mentor/advise colleagues through the automation software lifecycle, providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques
  • Serve as a liaison between the technical and functional teams
  • Promote and drive adoption of emerging automation technologies across the enterprise
  • Support the successful implementation of the solution
  • Ensure that post implementation benefit realization is captured and reported in accordance with CoE requirement
  • Stakeholder and change management

  • Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model and communicating the product needs with business partners.
  • Work with program stakeholders to evaluate impact of digital transformation in internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide RPA performance updates to stakeholders
  • Monitoring and Maintenance of Solutions

  • Review RPA performance, ensuring automations are performing as expected.
  • Identify any areas for improvement based on results.
  • Update configuration as needed, to optimize efficiency of the solution and align with business process changes.
  • Resolve any issues with implemented automations and report on impacts to the business
  • Manage relationship with Vendors and coordinate the addition of bot resources based, on business needs.

  • Experience managing multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with stakeholders to elicit requirements
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of common business practices and process management
  • Understanding of change management best practices
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering iterative enhancements
  • Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodology in process improvement
  • Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field—or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of project or program management experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills and familiarity with Agile and scrum philosophies and techniques
  • Experience with an automation software platform
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry or related service industry experience an asset.
  • Very Good verbal and written communication skills (English, Spanish and/or French an asset)
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification or equivalent experience
