_Medical Aesthetics Instructor & Medical Skincare Trainer_

Medika Beauty Institute in Halifax is currently looking for a highly-skilled, beauty enthusiast, and experienced Aesthetician/Medical Aesthetician who wants to perform Nd Yag, LHR, IPL, RF, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion and, Facials.

Coolsculpting, Dermaplaning, Hydrafacials, Microneedling, and Business Training are an asset.


We are looking fo an individual that wants to learn more in clinical aesthetics, that is motivated and driven to learn new skills and love Biomedika and cosmetic science.

You strategically lead, inspire and accelerate the growth of education for both Medika and Biomedika. You think like an entrepreneur, act quickly, and able to operate within a (relatively) corporate environment. This position reports into the CEO but is cross functional with many other departments such as Sales Channel Leaders, Marketing and Operations

  • A member of the senior leadership team with this role also has a pivotal role in the strategy and growth of the company across all channels
  • You are the company spokesperson and PR representative in the media, at events and across our social platforms.

WHAT TO DO ON THE JOB

  • A number nerd, you can transform data into insights, strong analytical skills are needed to understand the business, identify opportunities and risks and propose relevant actions and plans.
  • You work with the support team on how to best capture student data and analytics, you understand the process and its implementation.
  • Operationally, you are also responsible for the smoothing running of our classrooms
  • You review monthly expenses, invoices and budgets to maintain accuracy.

THINGS TO NOTE

  • You ensure that we are delivering the right classes, to the right students at the right time, across Canada. You deliver a thoughtful cadence, classcontent and timing be it in person, on regional ontours, in the classroom or digitally.
  • A keen believer in eventing and experiential learning, you lead the team in the planning and organisation of crosschannel events such as Innovation Events, Guest Speaker Evenings, Trend and Business Events, Networking Lunches, Retailer Events, Live Shopping and everything in between.
  • An everevolving need, you will work crossdepartmentally to ensure that we are delivering all digital and social educational development needs for all channels, marketing, field sales and end consumers.
  • You lead the development, implementation and maintenance of our online education platform. Analyzing what works and what doesn't and open to ever evolving reiteration.
  • Research and share digital ideas and industry/functional best practices to advance the strategic direction of Dermalogica education.
  • Coordinate with the Digital Team to plan education content regularly scheduled on social media channels including live webinars, Tik Tok, Facebook, Facebook Live and Instagram to both students and end consumers.
  • Participate in special projects as requested by the Global Education Team such as videos, task forces, curriculum projects and retailer initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Diploma in esthetics/skin care:


  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in training and preferably in a fastgrowing beauty industry
  • Exemplary leadership and entrepreneurial abilities
  • Passionate about building relationships including mentoring, coaching and providing outstanding customer service
  • Professional and effective communication skills. Expertise in written and verbal communication with solid writing and attention to detail. Expert skills in developing insightful presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong planning, administration, negotiation and organizational skills
  • PC Software knowledge, Microsoft Office skills, Outlook, Publishers, Excel, Tableau, Power Point and digital learning platforms.
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Possess a valid driver's license
