    Job Description

    The Medical Liaison Manager establishes, fosters and maintains strategic relationships with Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and exchanges accurate and updated medical / scientific information between KMEs, other investigators and the company's Medical Affairs group. The MLM acts as a medical / scientific resource within Biogen, ensuring awareness and understanding of the disease area and Biogen's products. The MLM provides technical and educational medical support to affiliate functions in relation to disease areas and Biogen's products.

    What you will do:

    • Establish and maintain contact with Key medical Experts (KMEs)
    • Develop and maintain scientific relationships with KMEs and investigators to create awareness and understanding of the therapeutic area and Biogen's products, and facilitate scientific exchange with KMEs
    • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to help develop, secure approval for and implement independent post approval studies that have the potential to support Biogen products
    • Prepare, manage and provide medical information including, but not limited to, medical letters, slide kits, publications, FAQs, and formulary dossiers
    • Work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to facilitate the creation of medical information about products to answer unsolicited medical requests from internal and external stakeholders
    • Share medical expertise by providing medical information training support to internal stakeholders (including, but not limited to, regional medical groups, MLMs, Sales representatives, and other field-based representatives)
    • Leading medical projects e.g., Patients Support Program
    • Provide medical input into sales and marketing strategies and medical and technical input into medically accurate development of Brand promotional materials

    Qualifications

    Required skills:

    • Desired min 2+ years' experience in similar role, therapeutic areas Neurology, Immunology and/or autoimmune diseases from Medical Affairs (pharmaceutical industry or CRO) will be a plus
    • Proven expertise in working with and within local regulations and code of practice
    • BSc; Advanced terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP in medical specialty) or equivalent combination of experience and education
    • Scientific acumen: Therapeutic area knowledge, experience in medical research & development
    • Statistical & data interpretation: Ability to assimilate medical data, present to and discuss with KMEs and other functions
    • Strategic acumen: Understanding strategic needs of affiliate organization important for completion of tasks
    • Focus on scientific exchange: Excellent interpersonal skills; constant interactions with KMEs, physicians and patient organizations and internal stakeholders
    • Communicating effectively: Excellent communication skills; required to present scientific data and key messages to academic and non-academic audience
    • Relating skills: Strong need to build long-term relationship with KMEs and physicians
    • Advanced English and Polish
