    Position Summary

    The Interface Management Coordinator for the (specified segment) will be responsible for coordinating all elements concerning interface management with the systemwide contractor (RSSOM) as well as any adjacent contracts. Early identification, wholesome and timely delivery of interface information that is needed to be exchanged between the multiple parties, whether PPP Contractors, TOC Contractors and EAW Contractors, is a key focus area.

    Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Integration Manager on all interface related issue, (at the specified Segment), between Project Cos, TAs, Customer and other vendors and on all projects;
  • Support in the facilitation of interface meetings and governance calendar including tracking of milestone dates for relevant meetings;
  • Gather and assess information to ensure that exchanges of information are agreed, and the schedules are being achieved;
  • Support the development of mitigation and/or incentives to reduce risks associated with the utility and construction interfaces;
  • In collaboration with the rest of project team, provide advice on contract management and interface issues;
  • Review project schedules for consideration of interface requirements so that deliverables are provided in a timely manner across the program;
  • Work with the segment team to tie together the IDR process, constructability and commissioning processes;
  • Attend and the weekly DIWG work task sessions and liaise with CIWG (Schedule 39);
  • In support of Schedule 10, work with the Contractors to: Review the PCo/ PDB recommended list of ICDs and IDRs and consolidate into the master list Work with the PCo/ PDB to agree the IFL and IFP for all ICDs and IDRs Review the PCo/PDB packaging submittal list and understand dependencies with interfacing contractors Participate in the collaboration and coordination sessions that lead to the P3/ PDB Contractor delivery of the Formal Submittals Work with the Contractors to assess the identified information exchanges (what and when) consider all interfaces and all information that are required for interfacing contractors (utilize the PDM). Track, monitor, assess the exchange dates and align with the project schedule (for a specific area) Track, monitor and assess (make recommendation, if not to plan or of poor quality) the information that is being exchanged. Consolidate the quality of the Integration Submittals and capture data (maintain a quality performance factor) Work with the Construction personnel to ensure constructability reviews are being considered as the design progresses Engage with the T&C personnel to ensure testing requirements and the necessary exchanges are captured in the ICD's
  • Qualifications and Skills

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university or Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the rail industry and/or large-scale infrastructure projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Additional Qualifications

  • Successful Interface Management track record on a major multidisciplinary rail project
  • Demonstrated technical writing, data management, verbal communication, presentation, and teaching skills.
  • A firm understanding of rail engineering procedures, principles, and concepts.
  • Experience working with teams and stakeholders in the development and delivery of large infrastructure projects. Ability to communicate across technical disciplines (engineering, construction, operations, maintenance).
  • Knowledgeable in planning and executing high value, multi-faceted lump-sum turnkey civil infrastructure projects.
  • Computer skills (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
