An overview of your future role at BBA

BBA is seeking a junior engineer or CEP in mechanical engineering to support our technical design and project tracking activities across Canada. You'll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality of deliverables. Occasional visits to site will be included in your activities.

• Manage various mechanical projects for turbines, generators, mechanical governors, bearing lubrication and cooling, shaft balancing and alignment, main inlet valve and balance of plant
• Take a lead role in client communications for your mandates;
• Be a key team member in carrying out small to major brownfield and greenfield hydroelectric projects;
• Help solve complex problems that involve turbines and generators components;
• Take part in pumped storage projects;
• Prepare and participate in onsite inspections, diagnostics, commissioning and testing;
• Share your knowledge with the team;
• Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high quality work;
• Make an impression on your clients through the quality of your work and help with business development.

Job requirements at a glance

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken);
• Interest in the hydropower and renewable energy sectors;
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (CEP or Eng.) or a Professional Engineer (junior or P.Eng) in another Canadian province;
• Driver's licence;
• Asset: Relevant experience in workshop inspection or monitoring site work.
