Lotek Wireless is an award-winning Global company and world leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of fish and wildlife monitoring systems. We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to work within our Marketing and Sales Department as a
Marine Telemetry Specialist.

Our Marine Segment is a team within our Marketing and Sales Department which leads the distribution of our highly specialized products to market.

This is a unique opportunity for someone, combining technology and the environment in a way that makes a positive contribution to the quality of life.

Duties:

As a member of our Global Marine Segment, you will be responsible for sales of our products Internationally. Our products include Radio, Acoustic, Archival and Satellite Technologies.

These form the basis of field instruments deployed on fish and wildlife throughout the world to provide the animal's perspective on changes in the environment.

This career opportunity places you in the middle of decisions that set the balance between human activities and wildlife conservation.

Data from Lotek fish and wildlife tracking products inform decisions that for example, weigh hydro-power generation, mining, forestry and irrigation/farming interests with the sustainability of endangered species.

Your primary contacts are PhD scientists at Government Agencies, Universities, NGO's, Community Funding Groups, Tribal organizations and Wildlife Consultants, to identify and advise on their research objectives and potential telemetry requirements.

Travel within the territory is estimated at 8-10 weeks per year attending conferences and visiting contacts and prospects.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Competency, Computer literacy, Selfreliance, Selfdiscipline, Communication, Team Player, Understanding the Customer, Initiative, Planning, Financial Skills, Reporting Writing, Process Improvement
A good grasp of wildlife telemetry would be a huge advantage. Familiarity with Government procurement procedures is an asset.
