J
oin our snow team, assisting with snow shoveling and salting of commercial properties in the Fergus and Guelph area.
This position would be a year round position, moving into our Garden, Lawn or Construction division for the green season.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Arrive promptly for shift once called in by Crew Leader
Demonstrate competency with shovels, snow blowers and salting techniques
Keep walkways and sidewalks clear on properties to optimize safety
Inform Crew Leader or Snow Operations Person of any potential hazards or additional work required on sites (sales assist)
Safe operation of all tools and equipment
Assist Crew Leader in optimizing safety

Results (measure of success):

Crew goes out in a timely manner
Properties remain clear of snow
Minimal accidents and incidents related to snow on sites
Increased up sales

Qualifications:

Skills:

Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as snow blowers and shovels.
Good knowledge of snow removal techniques
Good interpersonal and organizational skills
Good problemsolving skills
Willingness to learn from others

Experience

Experience is an asset

Education

Certifications in areas of safety and equipment operation including WHMIS, CPR, First AID, etc.
College Diploma, Apprenticeship, CHT, University degree in Horticulture or Landscape Technology an asset.
