Job Summary

Summer Student position – Full-time only for this summer

As a Laboratory Clerk for our Chemical Formulation team at the Laval location, you will provide general support to the department.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Wash, dry and store all the glassware used by the technicians;
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of basic laboratory equipment;
• Order all the disposable material and chemicals through the internal store and/or external supplier using the purchasing software;
• Receive and store chemicals, biological samples, and disposable materials, and keep inventories up to date;
• Keep the work area and storage room clean and organized.

Key Elements

If you have the following qualifications, we'll train you for the rest:

• Minimum of a High School diploma;
• Currently a student in a science-related program (Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, etc.) is an asset;
• Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
• Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changes;
• Ability to work in a team.

Role Specific Information:

• Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
• Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
• Salary: $17.50/hrs;
• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM. Depending on the company's needs, you may be required to work overtime;
• Temporary position, fixed-term contract depending on your availability this summer.

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
