- Perform structural condition assessments and site reviews, gather data and prepare reports in collaboration with the lead Structural Engineer and Project Manager.
- Perform inspection and analysis of structural elements of a variety of materials including concrete, steel, masonry, light-gage metal, wood.
- Manage and/or generate deliverable documentation (i.e.. drawings and specifications) for structural projects which requires accuracy in calculations and/or completeness of data.
- Provide design sketch and coordinate work with draftspersons and other engineering departments.
- Regularly review shop drawings and develop design solutions and modifications when warranted by site conditions.
- Provide clear and concise reporting to supervisors.
- Execute projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
- Provide feedback and innovative ideas.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree considered a strong asset) with a specialty in structural engineering.
- Professional engineer with 10 years of relevant structural design experience.

Located in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office, the candidate will be part of a structural design team where they will be expected to work independently with attention to detail on projects of varying size and complexity. This would include projects for infrastructure in transportation, health care, municipal, commercial, defence, institutional and industrial applications, including overall project management, with design and analysis of substructure and superstructure systems.
