Description

Securiguard Security Services provides security for The Source Head Office, its attached central warehouse, and monitors the Canada-wide in-house proprietary central alarm monitoring station.

Plus, on request the surveillance cameras in over eight hundred Bell, Source, Virgin Plus and Luck Mobile stores across Canada.

The Source/ Bell Canada Enterprises is Canada's premier electronics retailer operating over three hundred store locations, employing 3,000 associates across Canada.

Duties:

Follow company policies and procedures.
Maintain a high level of dress and deportment.
Perform other duties as assigned by company management.
Monitors alarms in the 24/7 central alarm monitoring station.
Remotely reviews surveillance cameras in Company stores as requested by Bell Smart Home Monitoring (Bell, Virgin Mobile, Source, and lucky mobile). Determines and tells BSA (when to dispatch Security /Police to stores (critical) in B and E and emergency situations ex. robberies) Monitors cameras in the Source stores using the Source federated server (Genetec Platform) Interpret information from the alarm monitoring software, and other resources, to decide if an onsite response is required, based on established alarm response procedures. Respond to burglary alarms, supervisory alerts, and other alarms requiring attention.
Conduct alarm testing on store security systems based on prescribed lists and times.
Maintain facility access control during prescribed periods.
Screen associates leaving the warehouse using a Garrett Magnascanner metal detector, search bags, parcels, or a Garrett handheld metal detector wand, based on established protocols. Perform routine patrols to verify the integrity of the building and site, detect potential problems, incidents of forced entry, or unauthorized access.
Operate and respond to alarms from the fire alarm system, access control system, or other building automated systems.
Operate and monitor onsite CCTV camera systems. Capture and export video clips from these systems as required by company management.
Maintain the daily activity log using Microsoft Office programs for data entry.
Write incident reports on all significant issues encountered while on duty.
Security guards must be able to work a rotating schedule varying shifts including holidays and weekends.
Security Guards report directly to the Site Supervisor

Qualifications:

Valid Ontario Security Guard License
Valid Standard First Aid
CPR-C
AED Certificate
Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma
Minimum 2 years' experience in security, dispatch, client service, call center, or law enforcement
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
Knowledge of CCTV security systems, fire alarm, and alarm monitoring receivers
Knowledge of Winpak Access Control System and System Link Alarm software an asset
