Job Description:


This position offers technical support to sales staff and ensures all the regulations by displaying knowledge and background in chemical segregation, manifesting, waste profiling, disposal options and approvals, MOE and TDG regulations compliance.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepares quotes and serves as the primary customer interface to maintain strong customer relations by communicating information to sales staff, operations personnel and customers;
  • Provides assistance to field personnel and operations staff;
  • Performs chemical analysis to ensure inbound and outbound materials meet regulatory and characterized expectations, development or quality control on an as needed basis;
  • Compiles data for reports;
  • Assists in special studies in the lab and field.

Qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills and Talents:

  • College/University degree required in Environmental and/or Chemistry; or another related field;
  • Flexibility regarding working hours in busy periods;
years or work experiences in a related field such as environmental services;

  • Good knowledge of Ministry Of Environment Regulations;
  • Knowledge of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act;
  • Experience with MS Office suite is a requirement and ShowCase software, considered as an asset;
  • Experience in completing Waste Characterizations including sampling, as an asset.
  • Strong background in chemistry and environmental regulations as a key skill;
  • Great communication skills and customer service;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and multitask;
  • Professional attitude oriented towards customer satisfaction;
  • Dynamic, interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to persuade and communicate ideas.
