    Description
    PPG Canada is hiring a Millwright with an Opportunity to Build Your Career Pay Rate: $41.56 Message "PPG" to to apply for this position via text This position is for Day Shift with typical store hours between 6am-2pm As a Millwright you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives Key Responsibilities
    • Inspect, maintain, and operate utilities system of the plant to provide specified and reliable environmental conditions and report abnormal conditions to the Plant Manager.
    • Perform preventive maintenance, plan projects, ensure machinery development as required to minimize service interruption.
    • Efficiently test, troubleshoot, and repair of all mechanical equipment, components and controls and arrange regular inspections.
    • Maintain inventory of spare parts to minimize any downtime on production.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required.
    • Pneumatics: Rebuilt tools, change and rebuilt diaphragm pumps, service oilers and driers. Install and service various types of air compressors.
    • Repair and maintenance of solenoids, flow controls, silo aeration, jet pulse (dust collector/baghouse).
    • Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with good manufacturing practice, standard operating procedures, work instructions and establish safety standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
    • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Adhere to all health and safety rules and safety procedures.
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • Possession of an industrial maintenance mechanical certificate in maintenance or certified Red Seal Millwright
    • Strong mechanical aptitude, able to learn new machines and processes within a short time frame
    • Three to five years of previous maintenance experience is preferred
    • Good understanding of the machine's functions with ability to achieve high level of precision
    • Good housekeeping skills in accordance with 5S principles.
