You are able to work from home with the ability to come into the Ottawa office 3 days per week.


About the team:


The IT Project Manager, as a fully proficient and seasoned professional, is responsible for managing Kinaxis IT projects from initiation to closure, including producing detailed estimates and resource plans, leading project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and adapting accordingly, assigning project work, maintaining project related documents and schedules, and managing and tracking all aspects of the project.


What you will do:


  • Create and manage detailed project plans and schedules for Corporate IT projects, ensuring best practices and methodologies are used throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Partner with stakeholders to plan for, organize, and lead resources assigned to projects, ensuring that outcomes are achievable and adapting projects plans as needed to align to available resources
  • Strategically balance project scope, cost and time while maximizing the value delivered to the business; Report on project status to executive sponsors and senior leadership
  • Coordinate tasks with business stakeholders, IT team members and third party vendors to ensure that tasks are owned, completed, and reported on; ensure alignment across all parties
  • Oversee and communicate achievement of project performance objectives
  • Follow preestablished polices, practices, and standards, while continuously identifying areas and opportunities for improvement
  • Anticipate and Manage project risks, communicating to stakeholders and providing solutions to overcome/mitigate
  • Mentor and coach other IT team members in project management
  • Conduct Lessons Learned sessions with stakeholders following project completion, document findings and ensure practices are implemented for future projects

What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing IT projects of varying complexity in a hightech, global environment
  • Certified Practicing Project Manager or equivalent (IPMA and/or PMP certification); ITIL certification an asset
  • Experience managing business and vendor relationships effectively
  • Analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.
  • A clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present complex information to various audiences, and demonstrate knowledge within direct and indirect team
  • Experience working with information that requires accuracy, attention to detail, using organization skills and agility while managing multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits feedback to ensure alignment.
  • Resilient with a sense of urgency and works in a fast paced, innovation driven, and ambiguous environment
