    Description
    Salary:

    International Point of Care is an Etobicoke, ON-based company specialized in the area of rapid point-of-care. We develop, manufacture, and supply unique biological reagents, raw materials, and lateral flow components for the in-vitro diagnostic industry and the research and development community.

    Our expanding team is currently looking for a Development Associate (Lyophilized Beads Reagent Manufacturing Lab) for a full time permanent position.

    Position Summary:

    • Based on the scope of the development projects the following tasks are required
    • Prepare LBR solutions at the development scale.
    • Dispense, Lyophilize, and Package
    • Prepare reports for customer calls and present if required.
    • Manage customer-owned inventory of reagents and IPOC-owned inventory of materials needed per the scope of the SOW between the two parties.
    • Record all experiments in lab books or electronically.
    • Prepare draft procedures as projects enter late-stage development tiers.
    • Ensures work completed complies with IPOC Quality Management System and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
    • Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • University Degree or College equivalent in a scientific discipline
    • 2-5 years of direct work experience in a biotech or medical manufacturing company in the capacity of development is preferable.
    • Experience in preparing Standard Operating Procedures is preferable.
    • Demonstrates expert, professional communication skills.
    • Demonstrate effective critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrate the ability to exercise initiative and ability to multi-task.
    • Is proficient with pipetting and has experience with common lab equipment.

    Scope and Accountabilities:

    Work with Department Head and customers to meet expectations and timelines.
