The Financial Planning and Performance team is responsible for the service delivery of financial planning related to WCB's administrative operations, promoting optimization of corporate processes through best practice.

Your responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Senior Manager, Financial Performance & Risk, manages business relationships in support of financial planning outcomes, ensuring that all areas of the business are supported.
  • Collaborates with our business partners to promote best practice in the delivery of financial planning services through the utilization of modern technology tools and optimization of processes.
  • Evaluates the delivery of financial planning services through the lens of valueadd, effectiveness and efficiency, and provide recommendations to management to address opportunities.
  • Ensures that appropriate and effective service level agreements (SLA's) are established with business partners, along with a monitoring framework to ensure compliance.
  • Manages the overall operation of the Adaptive financial planning model including, but not limited to, coordination of forecast versions and impacts on stakeholders who rely on the model; integration between planning functions within the model; schedule of activities and deliverables.
  • Leads the Financial Planning & Performance staff, including resource planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and coaching.
  • Leads the annual objective setting process as it relates to the Financial Planning and Performance team, ensuring objectives align with the finance division strategic direction map.
  • As a member of the finance leadership team, contributes to the annual evaluation and update of the finance division strategic direction map, and provides updates on the contributions of the Financial Planning and Performance team in supporting the resulting objectives.

Your experience and skills:

  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance.
  • CPA designation.
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in support of decisionmaking activities related to financial planning and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership skills along with an ability to effectively initiate and implement change is critical to success.
  • Growth mindset which draws upon continuous personal development, learning through experimentation, and a search for new ideas through collaboration.
  • Expertise in creating and preparing reports and presentations relevant to the target audience
  • A very strong consulting aptitude with the ability to build strong business relationships to collaboratively understand and define the business problems that need to be solved.
  • Strong interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong business acumen and advanced experience in the use of Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and PowerBI. Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning would be considered an asset.

Start Rate:
$91,308.00 to

Job Rate:
$114,101.00 per annum
